I was given one of the non-wifi Maxdone cameras and was so impressed I ordered the wifi version, which is worth the extra. It has the same basic functions, which include a mini-screen on the inside for picture reviews, image quality and great infra-red night vision. What you get extra is the ability to access the camera using an app, and see a live image, or review what you have captured remotely. The live view makes lining up your shots much easier: you can see what the camera sees and means that you can tweak the eangle in order to improve composition. The camera works best when it is higher and looking down slightly. This gives a better coverage with the night-vision. It is also good to be able to review the images without needing to access the camera directly. Do make sure that you properly disconnect the camera from the app though, otherwise the camera won't go back to surveillance mode. The battery life is also really impressive. I used two sets of 4 rechargeables and after three days of sub-zero temperatures, the camera still had over 60% battery left. This is quite amazing as the temperatures overnight were well below freezing. The app works well, and you can even control the detection area and change other settings. Changing the detection area is more relevant if you are shooting still photographs - I was happy with a wideer area as I have been shooting video. We have had a coouple of voles run into the periphery of the image and so managed to capture them on the side of the frame. We have a big garden backing on to open farmland, and have had numerous visitors to the garden. I was wondering had beeen diggingg holes in the end of the garden and so set up the camnea to oversea the area and a suspicious looking run worn in the grass. After three nights we had managed to capture Cat, Fox, Fox and then badger. It mooched around for a while digging holes and then wandered away. Seeems that we have solved the mystery! This camera (and indeed the non-wifi version) are excellent quality and phenomenally good value, and if you have any nocturnal visitors to your garden, then they can prove wonderfully addictive. Not only can you see exactly what is around, then you will no doubt find new and exciting corners to try to explore. We have a couple of bird feeders, and I am planning on setting up the camera to record what birds come to them, and am also trying to find out where the owls that come to the garden actually perch. Capturing an owl on video is going to be my mission for the next month! In short - totally recommend either of these cameras, but if you can - go for the wifi version. The ease of setting it up and reviewing images is more than worth the extra cost.

I was a little sceptical due to the price and such but tbh this camera has consistently impressed me with both the image quality, sound quality, battery life, ease of use and trigger reaction time and range. It has now been outside for nearly 3 months and with the Bluetooth range I can just about access it via the app from the house (about 4 metres through a wall). Which is handy. I put one set of decent batteries in it and having been triggered probably about 100 times hasn't dropped (according to the camera) below 100%. The image quality is extremely good and the audio it picks up is clear. The app is easy to use and has all the functions you need. The bits it comes with are fine. The straps and mount, the mount is a bit cheap and cheerful but it does work. It's a standard camera tripod thread on the camera itself. Honestly I'm going to order another one. This is well worth the money.

This is my second trail camera. I use it to capture the wild life in my garden. So far i'm very happy with this one and can see a lot of feature added compared to the previous version. You can take a picture up to 32MP which is very good to take a nice photo of your garden's squirrel ;-) also can film with 4k quality. Connecting via Wifi to your phone was the best part as I know many of trail cameras don't have this feature. You just need to install the app and it will automatically finds your camera and connects to it. You can take photo or movie with commanding from your mobile or review the existing media. You can also transfer the files via wifi so don't need to take the SD card anymore. Motion detection also works great and you can set the sensitivity. Overall product quality amazed me as it looks very solid with good materials. it works with only 4 AA batteries but put 8 for longer use. It's absolutely good value for money and I recommend it to buy it.

I got this MAXDONE Wildlife camera for my friend for garden monitoring. It is a phenomenal outdoor camera that stands out with its exceptional features. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, coupled with the TrailCam GO app, provide convenient remote control and access to photos and videos without removing the camera. The connection between mobile phone and camera is seemless. On top of that, the infrared technology ensures discreet night vision up to 65 feet which is enough in a private garden, and the camera's impressive 32MP photo resolution and 1440P video resolution deliver vivid and detailed images. With a rapid trigger speed, wide-angle range, and IP66 waterproof rating, this camera is a versatile and reliable tool for wildlife monitoring, home security, and outdoor enthusiasts. Highly recommended for its advanced technology and exceptional performance.

I bought this camera to replace one which had failed after many years of service. The great features of this camera are its ease of use. The camera connects to an app on your smartphone which controls all the settings you need to make - and it's really easy to set it up. You can review the captured footage on your phone and decide to keep or delete it without ever having to physically open the camera and plug the SD card into a PC or laptop. Video resolution is excellent, and the night vision is more than adequate for capturing wildlife overnight in our garden. Very pleased with this product so far.

This review is for the Maxdone SD card reader. It is not for a trail camera. This works well on my desktop PC and phones. The USB connector fit smoothly in all and it read as fast as my best card readers. The unit didn't generate much heat when idle, unlike other units I have. It has an activity light so you know when the OS is all done writing to it. I used a Samsung Pro Endurance microSD card in both slots (with SD adapter in one). I had no problem inserting the SD adapter or microSD card directly into the slot and there was no misalignment. It ran at 93MB/sec, which is as good as my other best card readers (the card is rated for up to 100MB/sec. read). Writing was around 50MB/sec. also as good as my other readers. The USB connectors fit smoothly in all the ports I tried, in particular the phone ports. I've had cheap USB-C connectors that fit very snugly and feel like they're damaging my phone's port. This one is not like that. It also protrdes more and fits well even through a thick phone case. I also tested the USB-C port with a USB-A 3.0 adapter and it is a high-speed connector like the A port, so it will run at high speed on a laptop with USB-C connectors. Idle current was very low, lowe than my USB meter could measure (<20mA). It used around 120mA during reading and writing, then dropped to

This small card reader worked perfectly. I went up to my trail camera, pulled out the SD card and loaded it into the reader. From there, I stuck the "C" connector that is on the card reader into my phone's charging port. I went to my file folder on the phone and there were all of my photos! Pretty darn slick! This card reader is really easy to carry. If I could change one thing, it would be to try to tether the 2 small plastic dust end caps to the main body of the card reader. The caps are small and could easily be misplaced. Just be careful... This is a nice small tool for not much money!

My computer does not have either an SD slot or a micro SD slot, but I had a photo frame that only had a micro SD slot. This solution worked like a charm and allowed me to upload many gigs of pictures and videos. This device gave me the option of plugging into the USB port of the USB-C port on my computer. There was even a solid red light on the side letting me know that the SD drive or micro SD drive was engaged and a blinking red light to let me know when my computer was accessing the memory of either drive. The amount of memory available on these micro SD drives is truly incredible and very affordable. This compact device now gives me access to this technology.

Having the USB-C and USB type A connector on the device is handy feature for me. I have both ports on my laptop and sometimes one or the other is being used (port replicator, flash drive, USB mouse receiver) - so this gives me more flexibility to choose which port to use. Product looks clean with the dust cap/protectors installed, though, like usual, they just snap on and I'm sure they're going to get lost at some point. It comes with a key ring lanyard, which might fit some people's use case, though I'm sure if I used with my keys that way I'd definitely lose the dust caps. Function/copied files as expected. Lots of variables here, but using my HP Elitebook and Sandisk Extreme Plus micro SD card I got about 80-90MB/s transfer rate while copying some MP4 movie files. I don't need it for the SD card feature, so I can't comment on that functionality.
