The media could not be loaded. A neighbour let me know he had seen a fox in my garden early one morning, drinking from my wildlife pond, so I decided a fixed camera was a good option to try and capture some images of this. I chose this camera for the solar function so I wouldn't be constantly checking on the battery life. It was really easy to set up. Fortunately I already had a memory card to use in it. The functions of the camera are very similar to a compact digital so from that respect it was easy to work out the settings. I have not yet added the optional AA batteries as so far, after the initial charging with the USB cable, the solar battery has stayed charged up sufficiently. I will add the back ups at some point. The solar panel is quite big so it will pick up a lot of light for a small item. I set the camera up to view the wildlife pond straight away to try and catch the early morning foxy wanderings, but no luck so far. During the day I have tried it in various positions in my garden to try and find the best spot. It comes with a handy strap so you can fasten it around tree trunks without damaging anything - this keeps it firmly in place, but it also comes with some fittings. a disk that you screw in, then you can screw the camera into place, great if you want to leave it somewhere permanently. I'm still undecided where to leave this yet. In the four days I have had it we have had sunshine, hail, wind and plenty of overnight rain - the camera’s waterproofing is spot on. So far my only disappointment is that it will not capture garden bird activity. I had hoped that it would capture some shots of the Great Tits using my nesting box, but unfortunately they’re a bit fast for it - edit - uploaded a short clip). I'll try again when they're a little more active and feeding their babies. I tried it on the bird feeder which is very busy just now, but it only captured the slow pigeons milling about on the ground. In all though, I think the camera will be really successful should I ever get the fox in the garden - it captured my dogs doing their morning patrol with lovely clarity. I’m pleased with the quality of the images. It will be great to take away camping to the Scottish Highlands later this year and see if I can get shots of anything there.

The customer service that you receive when purchasing this camera is top class. This camera is great value for money and so easy to set up before use. Some camera's are way too complicated in the setting up but this one is so simple it only takes 5 minutes and you are up and running. Very easy to charge via a supplied USB Type-C connection and you can also use Alkaline batteries as a back-up. It is very light due to not being loaded with loads of batteries.The solar panels are a definite plus and saves you quite a bit of money in replacing batteries on a regular basis. It takes great videos and pictures and after I placed it near my pond it was great to see some frogs having fun, and at night the local Hedgehog can be seen enjoying its evening meal which I have never seen before. Just make sure that you purchase an SD card for use with this camera. This camera is highly recommended and you will not be disappointed.

Super easy to set up, and the clear images are certainly impressive. I've used a wildlife camera before, but hoping for some summer sunshine I decided to purchase this solar powered one. I actually have three ways of powering this trail camera, batteries, rechargeable internal battery or the solar option. I was keen to get it set up and working immediately so insert 4 x AA batteries; however after charging the internal battery today, I will no longer need this back up. After positioned the camera in front garden I immediately picked up the small fox, squirrel, and magpie in daylight hours, as well as after dark; lovely clear motion detected image, we thought, in daytime colour or black and white night vision. The camera and battery section are found securely behind the strong hinged back cover, with the solar panel above. I just need to set the date and time on the camera, choose between photo or video, insert an SD card and switch on, ready to go. I attached the camera to something steady, looking forward to seeing what I pick up every night. A strong strap, and wall mounting are included in the kit, as well as the battery charging cable. The whole unit feels strong, sturdy and waterproof, thankfully. Delighted with this new wildlife camera, we look forward to recording birds, my cat, and other animal visitors.

This device takes very clear shots during the day and is excellent for taking black and white shots of wildlife without disturbing them at night. It boasts a wide range of ways to set up the camera for stills or videos according to your wishes and to secure it firmly in position. If you find it a bit puzzling at first the help desk is very helpful and responds quickly to your queries. If I do have one criticism it is that the instruction book is too small for my elderly eyes but the pdf of guidance obtainable from the website solves that problem perfectly! PS Make sure you format your SD card on your PC before inserting it in the camera!

Takes clear video, easy to set up. I particularly like the internal rechargeable battery, saves a lot of messing around replacing AA batteries. Seems to last a long time as well. Not sure the solar function is going to work, seems you need a lot of sun but that’s not a problem. This is my third wildlife camera, the other two let in water after a while and would not hold the settings. To early to say how long this one will last but it seems sturdier than the previous cameras.
