I've had several trail cameras over the years, some good , some bad but this model is superb. I purchased 3 of them to erect in my local woodland and am very happy with the footage in both photo and video. The build quality is excellent and I foresee no problems arising going forward. rechargeable batteries are not recommended so running this camera could prove expensive as it uses 8 AA's. I must confess I have ALWAYS used the rechargeable ones and have never had a problem with them, saving a small fortune over the years. I use 64GB SD cards so that I can record longer videos (2 mins) without filling the card up. SD card and Batteries are not supplied but a fixing plate and strong strap are. I cant comment on the WiFi as I don't use it . Blends in very well with the trees in my local woodland. I like the wide-angle lens as it captures more of the scene so less chance of missing anything. A final observation.....As stated earlier I purchased 3 of these cameras and one of them gave me a slight problem but after communicating with a lovely rep from Usogood the problem was located and easily fixed. 10 Stars to this Company, after sales service is spot on. Update....I have been using the cameras for 3 weeks and Have to point out that the night vision only seems to work occasionally. Also I forgot my password and the kind folks at Usogood were very helpful in resolving this. Top Marks again.

The media could not be loaded. The camera is definitely sturdy enough and seems to have good enough weather sealing, and has plenty of menu options. It seems to trigger reliably enough on the first night I used it. I set out some bread near the camera and I got about 10 clips the next day of a single mouse coming to pick them all up over a period of about 45 minutes. When setting the camera's quality to 4K in the settings, the files EXIF information says that the video files straight from the camera (when set to 4K) are 1440p at 25 FPS, it doesn't even pretend to be 4K other than in the camera's menu settings. That being said, as far as I know there are pretty much no wildlife/trail cameras that actually record at 4K, even if many claim to. Possibly due to there not being easily available 4K IR compatible camera sensors? Honestly I'm not sure. I have purchased a seperate 6V/12A solar panel designed for wildlife cameras (if you do so aswell, make sure it is 6V/12A) to act as a rechargable power source for it, as in the long term, changing batteries would be much more costly than buying a £35 solar panel once. I can't really say exactly how long a set of batteries will last, but good ones should last at least a week, if not much more, the biggest thing that will drain the battery is being connected to the wifi. Speaking of which, you can actually connect to the camera from further than I expected, it connects easily enough through my window with direct line of sight to the camera which is maybe 20m away, which makes getting the files off the camera much easier. I purchased it at a big discount due to it being a returned but otherwise essentially new unit, I am happy with it for the £35 I got it at. However, I'm honestly not sure if I could recommend it at full price (which seems to be £75 before applying a 10% off "voucher"). If it came with a solar panel or rechargable battery it would maybe be worth the full asking price.

Does not work at all well. Fails to record even 1 minute of 2k video. I have tried several card types and speeds but the video recording just stalls, even at the lower 2k resolution. A waste of money.

The media could not be loaded. This trail camera is well presented and would be suitable to gift. The camera itself has a camouflage design, being brown based in colour it is best suited on a tree but will blend into shrubbery to a good degree too. It is supplied with a belt to fit in your desired location as well as a metal plate to permanently fix into position. To power it requires batteries….lots of batteries 8 in fact and they must be new! I put in reused batteries but checked the power level on each, 4 were near to 100% and 4 were about 75% and these lasted about two days with multiple low battery warnings and notices that it may not be able to use the night vision function. I have since purchased new at a cost of approximately £8. I will monitor how long these last but in all honestly this is expensive to run. Usage, I have experience with a bird camera and tried to use this in the same way but couldn’t. The focus on this is at a distance of at least 2 to 3 feet so it must be sat back from what you are wanting to capture. My first videos were out of focus as I put the bird seed too close to the camera. I then attached the camera (using cables ties) to a standard camera tripod stand. This distance of about 3 ft was much better but because in this instance I was filming mice they obviously look very small and not much detail. In this respect I get it is for bigger mammals but something to think about if like me you like birds/mice/hedgehogs. Overall it is a good trail camera and works as it should, connecting to retrieve videos is ok you have to be very close to the camera to do this. Also the thumbnails are very small so you will find yourself having to go through all of the videos rather than being able to pick out the interesting ones. I personally wouldn’t purchase again as it isn’t too far off the price of my bird camera which massively outperforms this on connectivity, focus and cost of running. The cost of batteries alone make this something I will use once every so often not everyday as I would prefer. I think solar power or a rechargeable facility would be much more economical as well as an ability to focus close up.

The media could not be loaded. I recently had the pleasure of using the trail camera equipped with advanced features, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with its performance. This camera has truly elevated my wildlife monitoring experience, and I’d like to share my thoughts on its exceptional features. Foremost, the easy connection and app control feature made using this trail camera a breeze. By connecting to the camera’s built-in Wi-Fi via my phone’s Bluetooth, I was able to adjust camera parameters, preview pictures and videos, and even download and share them without the need to remove the camera. The effective Wi-Fi connection distance of 65ft ensured a reliable and convenient connection. Now let us talk about image quality. The trail camera’s advanced sensors and lenses delivered crystal-clear images with an impressive resolution of 32MP. And the 2.7K videos at 30fps were incredibly fluent and detailed, capturing wildlife moments with absolute clarity. The shooting effect of this camera surpassed my expectations and outperformed other cameras I have used in the past. For night vision capabilities, this trail camera truly shines. The lightless infrared LEDs provided a 65ft hyper night vision range, illuminating even the darkest of environments. Not only did it capture clear images without scaring the animals, but the premium optics and advanced image sensors ensured superior night shooting results. One of the standout features of this camera is its quick activation. Thanks to the motion detection feature, the camera was triggered as soon as the cat and racoon movement was detected within its 65ft surveillance range. With its three sensitive PIR sensors, it recorded in just 0.2 seconds upon motion detection, ensuring that no moment was ever missed, regardless of how fast the animals were moving. Durability and weather resistance are crucial for outdoor cameras, and this trail camera delivers on that front as well. With an IP66 waterproof rating and a battery compartment designed to protect against rain intrusion, I had peace of mind knowing that the camera could withstand various weather conditions. Additionally, the camera features time stamping, customized monitor periods, password protection, and loop recording, providing additional functionality and security. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the trail camera’s performance and features. The easy connection and app control, exceptional image quality, impressive night vision capabilities, quick activation, and rugged build make it a top-notch choice for wildlife enthusiasts and homeowners alike. If you are looking for a reliable and high-performing trail camera, I highly recommend this one.

I bought my first trail camera, a Moultrie M-40, in 2017. The image quality was good and it worked well until we had a windstorm in the middle of the night. I think the repeated flashes due to detection of massive vegetation movement "fried" the circuit board. Moultrie stopped doing camera repairs and just offered a discount on another camera which I bought. Unfortunately, it was dead on arrival and I wrote off Moultrie. My second camera was a Browning BTC-5PXD in 2020. Although it had a handy LCD screen to show the camera coverage, the camera was lousy: It basically had a telephoto lens and everything closer than about ten feet was out of focus. I couldn't even get a photo of a neighborhood squirrel feasting on a Halloween pumpkin. My latest camera, the UsoGood DL502, has a larger LCD screen, great camera, and -- best of all -- wifi connection so I can use my smartphone to review the camera angle and images the DL5022 has captured. Camera set-up was relatively easy and the default settings seems sensible. My only concerns are with the TrailCam Go smartphone app, not the camera itself: The camera review images on the app kin my iPhone Mini are about half postage stamp size, making them basically useless. Of course, I can remove the SD memory card (I opted for a high-capacity SanDisk 128GB card) and review the images with my card reader and desktop computer but that somewhat negates the benefit of using wifi. I also tried downloading one video file through the app: It disappeared and I have no idea where it went. Additionally, you have to be very close to the camera to access images from your phone. I can see the camera from the window of my house but I have to be fairly close to the camera to access images. If there is a way to check the firmware version and update it, I haven't found that yet. Likewise, I'm sure the smartphone app will be updated regularly. All in all, I'm happier with my UsoGood DL502 than my earlier two cameras and highly recommend it; it is a great step forward in trail cameras.

When you are actively watching the WiFi feed it really eats-up battery life, but if you don't leave it running 24/7 battery life is extended and useful.

I have never used a WiFi trail cam before and me being a newbie had no trouble setting it up! It was so simple. I live in the NC mountains and see a lot of deer, coyotes, fox and other wildlife including a bear that walked right up on our porch one evening. I was very anxious to get my trail cam up and running so I put it about 15 feet from the house on a tree. Results have been outstanding! Night vision is great as well. You also have to download the app which is super easy. It takes 8 double A batteries and a SD card to operate. I’m more than happy with the design, quality, programmability and picture quality. I highly recommend this product! You won’t be be disappointed!
