I purchased two rechargeable trail cameras from the same manufacturer/supplier last year, and was extremely happy using them to film a hedgehog that was a regular visitor. When I wanted to buy another camera, ready for when hedgehogs come out of hibernation, to cover a different area of the garden, I was pleased to find this solar powered model. When it arrived, I could see that the design was very similar to the two we already had, but with the addition of the solar panel on the top. This model appears to be very solid, and the solar panel seems very sturdy, being part of the moulding of the camera body. I put the camera out a couple of weeks or so ago to test it, before we hopefully have visits from hedgehogs again, once they come out after hibernation. Although I have only had videos and photos of birds and the neighbour’s cat, I have been pleased with the results. The camera is triggered easily when the animals are in range and the resulting videos and photos are very clear, whether the subjects are close to the camera or a few feet away. The camera is controlled and monitored using an app that can be easily downloaded to a phone. Having previously got two other cameras, I already had the app on my phone and it was no problem to add another camera. The camera arrived with the internal battery already charged, and despite being in use for about 3 weeks the app has shown it has not dropped below 100%. Just in case there’s a period when the solar panel doesn’t recharge the battery, (maybe during short winter days when the sky is overcast too?) there’s no need to worry about the camera not getting recharged sufficiently. The camera has a socket underneath to connect a USB cable, also supplied. Altogether I’m very pleased with this camera and looking forward to hopefully getting more hedgehog videos and photos, rather than birds and cats!

This wildlife camera delivers impressive image quality, with clear day and night footage. Having bought a trailcam previously about a year ago which I've been really impressed with I was immediately interested in buying this one with the advantage of solar charging when I saw it. The camera came fully charged with a 32gb micro SD card fitted. I already had the app downloaded with my previous camera and it was simple to add the new camera. (Full instructions are enclosed if you need to install the app and connect to a phone, tablet etc). I set the camera up immediately and began enjoying the pictures. The camera provides excellent pictures and videos either during daylight or at night. We have frogs in our pond spawning at present and it's been great to capture things as they happen watching live via the app our through video recordings or still pictures. I've attached a might video with the frogs (only allowed one video per review) and pictures with a pair of collared Doves and wagtail who visited us. The details you can pick out on the night video are unbelievable and speak to the excellent quality of the pictures. I'm able to download pictures and videos directly from the camera onto my phone without having to move it or stop monitoring the wildlife. I've had the camera out for 3 weeks now operating 24/7 and haven't had to charge it as it's still @ 80%charge. Even with the relatively dull weather we've had the solar charging seems to really keep the charge up and if you get a sunny day it's boosted even more. The camera has a small bracket which can be screwed to a wall, fence or other static object to provide a platform for it to perch on. The camera screws to it. I have used a standard camera tripod which the camera can screw straight onto and this allows flexibility in terms of setting the camera at different heights or angles. Sound quality on the camera is excellent and I've enjoyed listening to the frog chorus from the comfort of the house. It usualIy stopsif you venture into the garden to a distance where you can hear it. With this I can enjoy excellent live pictures and sound without disturbing them. I would happily recommend this camera to anyone. Great product.

I spent hours looking for a WiFi camera that had a good battery life but also synced easy to your phone. I first bought the one without the solar and was impressed with it's functionality and battery life and how quick it was to charge. Then got the solar one and my lord it is exception so far. I've used it during late winter and spring in the UK. It is in a sheltered spot and set to trigger from dusk until dawn. It still has 100% battery after 6/8 weeks of use, so with the spring and summer coming I imagine that yes you can use it all year without charging. It connects so easily to your phone and I easy to see photos/videos and to change the settings. Honestly probably the best WiFi camera on the market at the moment. Super super product.

The media could not be loaded. For the price, this is a fantastic camera. Works completely as described and the video quality is excellent. I suspect the quoted megapixel count is based on interpolation as there is some 'smearing' on the still images but they are still good. Easy to set up using the Trailcam Go app and the camera seems to have a decent wifi range (I can connect from within the house and the camera is 15m away). The included screw on bracket is also useful - I screwed it to a brick so I can ground-mount and easily move around the garden. Attached vid is from the 3rd night in out in our garden. The badger was most unexpected! Highly recommended.
